Dr. Melissa Loehnig is on faculty at Whitman College in Walla Walla. She has an active piano studio, teacher music history and theory, coaches singers and pianists, and accompanies throughout the department. She spends her summers as staff pianist at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. She has performed in Costa Rica, Malibu California, Lucca Italy, and in many states around the USA.
Dr. Jeremy Mims is Professor, conductor, pianist, violinist, and vocalist at Whitman College. His experience also includes teaching orchestra to 150 children, conducting chamber choirs and chorales, has extensive Suzuki background with traditional orchestral instruments and is an advocate of church music, evidenced in his service in churches in Walla Walla, El Paso, Kansas City, and Abilene. He also has been musical director of shows and operas around the nation.
Here they will combine their musical diversity and various training on one piano, delivering a concert that is sure to start toes tapping and bodies moving.
With their breadth and depth of musical experience the dance music on one piano will be amazing! Don't miss this concert!
